Panchang

The Hindu calendar for every day of the year, calculated for your city: tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, sunrise and sunset, Rahu kaal and all major festivals and vrats.

Monthly vrats (Ekadashi, Purnima, Amavasya, Pradosh, Sankashti and others) appear on each day in the calendar above.

How this is calculated: every value is computed from the real positions of the Sun and Moon (Lahiri ayanamsa) for the city you choose. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are those prevailing at local sunrise, with their end times. Festivals follow traditional observance times, for example Diwali by the amavasya at sunset and Janmashtami by the ashtami at midnight. Regional traditions sometimes differ by a day, so for important rituals please also consult your family priest.
